This is an excerpt of a section within the Manifestation Manual: The Path of Least Resistance, titled Why Shadow Work is Essential for Manifestation.
Here is a quick rundown of shadow and shadow work to get you up to speed:
What is Shadow Self & Shadow Work?
Your shadow self, or shadow, is the side of yourself you have no awareness of. It holds all the qualities you disowned during your formative years.
Although you learned to repress these qualities to push them outside of your awareness, they are still living underneath the surface.
They unconsciously guide your actions and are the unseen cause for many of the troubles in your life.
Shadow work is the intentional practice of becoming aware of your unconscious shadow and integrating these neglected qualities into your being—becoming whole.
This is a process of building self-awareness, self-acceptance, and universal Love.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
Why Shadow Work is Essential for Manifestation
The Shadow and the Law of Attraction
The Universal Laws of Attraction appear to respond more efficiently and quickly to people who take action based on genuine desire.
This does not have to be a large-scale event. In your efforts, you don’t have to try to move the impossible. However, most experts who write about creation will point out that you need to take some significant action to get to your goal.
And you never give up, no matter what!
Why Shadow Gets in The Way
The term “shadow” refers to everything we can’t see in ourselves. The majority of us go to great lengths to protect our self-image from anything unflattering or strange.
As a result, it’s easier to notice another’s shadow before noticing one’s own. This is something that affects everyone. On the other hand, exploring your shadow can lead to more authenticity, creativity, energy, and personal awakening.
This reflective process is necessary for reaching adulthood and the fullness of self-expression that it brings.
This also allows us to connect with the Sovereign archetype, the gateway to connecting with something greater than ourselves.
That is the key to manifesting effortlessly. This type of shadow work is difficult but extremely rewarding.
It’s almost as if the Great Mystery wants to know you’re committed, so spend about 40 minutes a day visualizing your goals in vivid detail and take two small steps every day that move you closer to your goals.
If you meet those requirements and your belief, desire for an outcome, and expectation are all sufficiently strong, you’ll find that mastering creation is the most natural thing in your life.
How To Manifest the Objectives You Desire?
Unsurprisingly, a large number of men and women are eager to learn how they can better control their lives. Or how they can surround themselves with a more desirable world experience. Or, more precisely, how they can manifest – that is, bring into existence – the places, people, and events that they desire.
You might be surprised to learn that attracting what you want is more difficult than it appears to be to a beginner.
Using the Law Of Attraction to co-create something isn’t a real battle with the universe’s will! It does, however, require you to think of an objective and visualize it in detail for 20 minutes every day. You do this by putting forth mental energy and effort, which effectively activates the Law of Manifestation. To do so, you’ll need to have looked into your shadow to see what’s preventing you from believing in your ability to achieve your goal.
Before we go any further, I’d like to point out that creation is the universe manifesting what you expect and believe in. The Universal Law of Attraction, also known as the Law of Manifestation – click here for more information – is a divine manifestation that allows a genuine part of our being to manifest our desired objectives.
When you use it, you realize that all of the events and circumstances that affect each of us at any given time are almost certainly the result of our collective subconscious thoughts, beliefs, and goals and wishes.
When it’s clear that you don’t have as much money as you need, it’s probably because you have a set of beliefs about how much financial wealth you can bring into your life. Or maybe you have a phantom belief about how valuable you are – or something else in your life that has a similar effect.
And suppose you’re not in an intimate one-on-one relationship but want to be. In that case, you’re likely to have an unconscious belief about how appealing (or unappealing!) you are to someone else, a potential romantic lover.
Which means, as I’m sure you understand, the quality of your entire life is simply a distillation of your deeply held beliefs about who you are.
You’ve probably realized by now that for the law of attraction to work, your most deeply held, most profound beliefs about yourself and the world must be in alignment with the goal you want to achieve. One way to do this is to do shadow work.
If you believe, for example, that you come from a low-income family and that financial hardship is your destiny, there is no point in attempting to become wealthy – at least not until those limiting beliefs have been amended, destroyed, or changed.
How can you be sure that your beliefs and hopes are in sync? To put it another way, how do you know you’re not working with a set of subconscious beliefs that will prevent you from achieving your goals?
- Beliefs and manifestation
The clearest and most efficient way to make this happen is to visualize yourself achieving the goal you’ve set for yourself.
For example, if you want to have $6 million in your bank account in ten years, you can sit in a quiet place and imagine how it feels as you imagine the experience. Good for you if it feels right. If you don’t believe in your goal, change it until you do!
- Law of Attraction
People believe that when they employ the Law of Attraction, the process will be simple.
And, indeed, that is how it is frequently depicted – the idea appears to be that if you spend 15 minutes twice a day visualizing and fully believing in what you want, it will manifest in your life almost instantly.
The truth is that only a small percentage of people have control over their lives, and even fewer have control over the manifestation process.
So, what prevents people from putting in the effort or employing the techniques required to manifest what appears to be an infinite supply of information and resources from the universe?
I’m not sure what the answer is to that question, but what I’d like to do here is go over the techniques that appear to be the most successful.
- Visualization and Manifestation Go Together
Begin by determining exactly what you desire.
Of course, this is difficult for many people because they don’t know what they want, and even if they do, they don’t want it passionately.
You will not, however, get what you want if you do not know what you want. For example, consider going on a trip: if you don’t know where you’re going, your journey will be chaotic and random, and you’ll most likely get lost.
The same is true for anyone trying to manifest something: if you don’t have a specific outcome, desire, or goal in mind, your journey will be random, and you’ll most likely feel spiritually lost as well.
Start by deciding what you want, and if you’re new to manifestation, starting with a small goal is the most likely way to succeed.
That will manifest with relative ease, because your difficulty will be believing that something major, such as a new relationship or a new home, is possible.
